Brazilian church in Orlando since 1999
A service in Portuguese, live English interpretation, free parking, and a program planned for children.
September 1999 · September 2026
In September 1999, a group of Brazilians began meeting in Orlando to worship in Portuguese. God has been faithful every year since then, and what began small is today a church of whole families praising Him in their heart language. That is why all of September is a celebration at New Hope Church, with a guest preacher each Sunday and the church gathered to give thanks.
“The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” Psalm 126:3 (NIV)
Sunday at New Hope
The New Hope Church service is held every Sunday at 10:30am at 4300 Lake Margaret Drive in Orlando. The service is in Portuguese with live English interpretation through a headset, and there is a children’s program at the same time. On Wednesdays at 7:30pm, our youth and teens hold their own gathering. The church has its own free parking lot.
Twice a week, New Hope Church gathers for what lies at the heart of the Christian faith: hearing a message based on the Bible, praying, worshiping God, and sharing life together. Each gathering is a time to draw near to God, build relationships, and grow in faith.
Since September 1999
New Hope Church Orlando is a Brazilian Presbyterian church, organized in September 1999 and part of the Central Florida Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). The church was founded to walk alongside Brazilian families starting their lives over in Florida.
Thousands of people have arrived in Orlando since then, each with a story of adjusting, missing home, and starting over. In response, New Hope made a decision that runs through its whole history: to be family for those who are far from family.
“Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household…”
Ephesians 2:19 (NIV)
That truth is what shapes Sunday at New Hope Church. Whoever walks in does not come as an outsider, but as someone who already has a place at the table. What is built from there is what the church has been doing since 1999, one person at a time.
Is the church only for Portuguese speakers?
Portuguese and English, same service.
Português · no púlpito English · on the headset
At New Hope Church, a ministry of volunteers is dedicated to interpretation at every Sunday service: the message is preached in Portuguese and reaches you in English through a headset, live. Two languages, the same pew, the same family.
The booth faces the sanctuary. Headsets are picked up at the entrance, free of charge, and returned on the way out.
Your first time here
This is what a first Sunday at New Hope Church looks like, step by step:
01
Free parking is available on the church grounds, a few steps from the main entrance. If you can, arrive a few minutes early to get to know the building before the service begins.
02
At the entrance, our team will be ready to greet you, show you around, and point you to the children’s rooms. For live English interpretation, ask the welcome team for a headset.
03
The service includes worship, prayer, and a message based on the Bible. The church gathers to worship God together, and you are invited to join us in it.
Kids and Special Needs
At New Hope Church, children join their families for worship. Then they are invited to come forward, where the church prays for them, and they go with their teachers to a program prepared for each age group. At the end of the service, parents pick up their children at the marked rooms.

Sunday, 10:30am
There is a place saved for you at this family’s table. That is not a figure of speech: it is what Ephesians 2 calls being a member of God’s household, and it is what New Hope Church has been building in Orlando since 1999.
